Function Meets Fashion at Versa AccessWear

Welcome to Versa AccessWear!

I began researching adaptive clothing two years ago, when I met a woman at work who was having difficulty going up a hill to her class.  I stopped to help her and we chatted, and I couldn't help but notice she was constantly re-situating herself in her wheelchair, tugging at her t-shirt to keep it in place.

I found there wasn't much out there in the way of fashionable adaptive clothing, and decided that the time had come for

function to meet fashion!

Versa AccessWear merges fashion forward design with construction elements suited for women with limited physical mobility.  Ease of access and comfort fabrics are key, and designs incorporate dolman/raglan sleeve, angled hems on pants to accommodate a seated position, and our one-of-a-kind construction detail, Versecure®, which holds a two-piece outfit together (no more worrying about your clothes staying in place while transferring!).

I hope you enjoy seeing all that Versa AccessWear has to offer, and that you feel free to share your  input, or any special wants or needs.

Our initial pieces have debuted at Chloe magazine's Dare to Change the World fashion shows, held at each of the Abilities Expos this year.  Versa AccessWear's mission includes giving back to the community we serve; a portion of profits from sales goes to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, and I am proud to say that Versa AccessWear is featured on the Foundation's Shop for a Cure page of their website.
